Sure I'm aware of safety precautions, the problem is I don't know much about how transistor amps operate or how to test them.
I have a light bulb limiter but I did want to measure how much current it's drawing without the limiter. I had to put it away for a minute but I will check it again and see what it does with no speaker connected.
I've looked over everything that I can see without major disassembly and don't see anything suspect.
This thing is built like a puzzle, a lot of crap to take apart but it looks like I will have to disassemble it to check those resistors.
Ampeg SVT 5 PRO Anyone had one on the bench?
