even easier than a Princeton?

Post by Edoardo »

Hi guys,

As a first amp, I was thinking about a 1-Watt amp. I see many little lunchboxes around And they do their little things... Any dummyproof schematic around?

I was thinking about an ECC81/12AT7 as a preamp tube and about a ECC82/12AU7 as a power amp tube.

I have no clue about the rectifier, cause I've seen just SS-rectified around. And the power supply. And all the other stuff

Thanks a lot

You might consider registering at AX84.com. They have some good beginner projects there. The Firefly is similar to what you describe. More than the schematic, for a first build, you'll benefit from having a layout diagram and a bill of materials. AX84 has all this and more.

There is absolutely nothing I can think of that should keep you from using a solid state rectifier, especially on a 1W amp.
