2 16 ohms speakers

Hey Guys 2 16 ohm speakers wired in parallel equal what.Im sorry guys Im low wattage myself.This is for the Brownsuger amp.I made the cabs and have to get some issues worked out today.It does have a 4-8 switch.My meter read 2.5ish.Just want to get the cab and head right ,Thanks,Mikey

series adds and parallel divides so 8 para and 32 series

Two 16 ohm speakers wired in parallel should read as 7-7.5 ohms.

If your meter reads 2.5ish I have to wonder whether your speakers are mislabeled and actually 8 ohms. Some 8's will read low as 5 when reading the voice coil DC resistance. Two in parallel would 2.5.

Still a mystery.

And make sure they're wired same polarity, once the impedance thing is sorted.
