Hey 10thtx, take a look at the screen resistors on your schematic...Believe they should be 100 ohms, not 100k.
Good catch. Edited and corrected above.

Thanks!

Not the greatest wiring job but it can be cleaned up.

Be very certain what tubes go where before you power up.

And yes, check out the light bulb current limiter (in this section) to start the amp up safely.

Ampgeek - I uploaded a photo of the front panel to the album I linked before. It looks consistent with the Hoffman AC30.

Firestorm - Yes to both AF and Barksdale. I've been here for a little over a year now, I'm a weather forecaster supporting the B52's.

Outstanding!

Your goal is sure to be a reality with all of the good folks here and over at the Hoffman forum ready and willing to assist.

Take your time, ask questions, "listen" closely to the guidance and, above all, be careful when poking around the innards of a tube amp. Lethal voltages are present.

Good luck,
Dave O.

That's a cool job. Lot of places to go in uniform or out. Met an Army LTC on here, stationed in Heidelberg at AREUER/7th. IT guy. Nice job too.

I really enjoyed the Heidelberg area, it a shame they closed that base. Ramstein was my last station before I moved to Shreveport.

It was old. Mostly facilities snagged from the Wehrmact in 1945. And now back to our previously scheduled amplifier, already in progress.
