Subsititute foir rotted foam?

Post by Jerry2013 »

Just finished putting a new "ICAR" taper pot in an old 70's wah. Went great! Got full travel/taper out of the new pot, and am using some white Lithium grease to lube it.
Of course, the old foam that was used as a pad between the battery and chassis was rotten,so I scraped it off. I have more of that same type of foam, only new, should I just use that?

EDIT- I'm sorry, I think this question belongs in Speakers& Cabinets, or Garage.
Mad Gooper- must be stopped before I Goop again!

Your thread can go here. :D

What I have used in the past is those small rubber foot pads like we use on pedals.
They have sticky backs and you just stick them were you want them.

You will have to choose a pad that is the right thickness.

Don't let that smoke out!
