so the guy comes out of no where (which is fine...we all did at some point) and want/needs help...again no biggy. And in 24 hours is pissed and gone....I'm sorry I missed it. It would have probably been funnier with his posts not edited. Oh my...
It's all about the tone!

Seeing as he edited his posts, at least we know he didn't electrocute himself
yet.

I didn't know the "two pairs of latex gloves" safety tip. Should they be lubricated or non-lubricated?cbass wrote:Of course he didn't he has two pairs of latex gloves on

Nice looking work through. All a simple misunderstanding.

An escalated misunderstanding in many ways. I hope the OP takes some time to really understand what it takes to avoid passing current through his body. He seemed to have a curious mix of good and bad knowledge. He became antogonistic when some of us tried to fill in some holes. I'm not sure why, but now it's the interweb's fault. We hadn't had a drive-by in a while...it must have been time.

It was nice looking work, but the OP didn't build that amp. He purchased it and was modding it.
Re: Delete post.
Very strange and sad, too.
-No sense of humor; thin skinned -- thinner than latex?
-Difficulty distinguishing fact from fiction or concern from attack -- safety issues detected and not well received.
-Back pedaling on what he meant when he said....whatever...no need to be embarrassed or defensive with near total strangers....I mean, it's not like he drinks with us at the local tavern and is going to be ridiculed in public.
-Wears 2 pr latex gloves because he's nervous working on a live circuit.
Has no clue about breakdown voltage; worse, how easily latex is torn by copper wire or sharp metal corners. IMO, he needs a pair of these http://www.amazon.com/Lehigh-Spontex-19 ... B001B38WLY though they do limit manual dexterity.
The live circuit thing hit home with me. He's a newbee for sure and wouldn't admit it. I remember the first few times I had to probe a live circuit. I was shaking so much I couldn't do it. I had to use clips and power off/on for every move.

I tend to be the exact opposite when I'm new at something I follow every little rule to a tee.Once I figure out what I'm doing Its like. unplug an amp before I work on it, one hand in my pocket, Don't stand in my own urine while working on a live circuit. I ain't got time for that shit.
