Bench power supply question

Post by KellyBass »

Greetings! Quick question for people I trust...I have the opportunity to purchase a really cool vintage power supply...a Lambda model 71. This things got some great features, 0-500 HT @ 200ma, 6.5 @ 5a, 0 - 200 bias, two meters, etc..

My concern...is 200ma of HV going to be enough to handle, say 2 or 3 triodes and a pair of EL34's? The heater current seems okay. I'd just love to have a single PS that could do it all. Thought?

Thanks in advance!
Kelly

Sure. The Classic Tone PT I got for 50 watt plexi build is 150mA HT.
I build and repair tube amps. http://amps.monkeymatic.com

Thanks, xtian. I thought it should be...

But it definitely crimps my 6 x kt100 build. 8)

I went ahead and bought the PS. Man, what a great tool!
