Re: New amp
Great build! I'm putting WIMA filter caps in my 5f6a bassman. The ESR at 120hz, is around 0.9Ohms, for a 20uF WIMA DCLINK-MKP4. I'm not sure how that compares with an Ecap. The ESR that they report in their datasheet is measured at 10KHz. I put them in a Vibrochamp refurb, and they are working great!
Has anybody here had any problem with using them to smooth 120hz rectified DC? There is very little info on these caps in guitar amps, on the web. Thanks!

Re: New amp
Geez Dave, I had to bring this thread back up because you built one hell of a sweet amp and maybe some people haven't seen this thread.

I give him all my ideas, then I let him explain what my ideas are. Only then do I do anything. I don't want to blow stuff up!
