As a means of pre-empting microphonics in both preamp and power tubes, these have occasionally been used in MI amps, eg the Gibson GA-6.
Anyone have any experience to offer, particularly in adding it to an existing chassis mount socket? Rubber grommets around the mounting screws, for example?
Shock mount preamp tube sockets?

Not sure how I came across this site, but it is relevant to your topic.

Grommets will CHANGE the resonant frequency of the vibrations but not eliminate them. You might play with o-rings of varying durometer.

Rattlecat, thanx, I'm sure that would work, but it's way too ugly!
Zippy, you're right, you don't want the sockets jumping around. O-rings might do it OK.
Following on that thought, how about collar washers, one or two, fiber, nylon. Maybe not shock resistant enough?
