Be sure to check out your heater load.
That PT has a 5A 6.3v winding.
KT66 draw 1.27A each add three 12ax7's @ .3A each for .9A so total is approx 3.5A.
EL34 draw 1.5A each for 3A plus 1A for 4A total.

Duh?
Ready to pull the trigger ... and I began to think about it.
I started out thinking about BUILDING another amp. Same thing happen to me when I was thinking about building a tweed. I found what I was wanting for less than the kit ... the Richter Supra-Luxe head. Now I LOVE that amp after I was done with it ... adding the VVR and a few mods. I have two really fine amps ... one I built and one that I modded ... can take either out and be comfortable. They play great.
But I sort of missed out on the 5E3 build itself. Maybe I should just wait until I find the build. I started out thinking maybe an Allen (Accomplice, Encore or Old Flame). Then I considered the JTM45 build.
What would I like to BUILD? You guys know what I mean.
