I saw these amps in the latest edition of Guitar Player so I had to look them up.

Wow they do great work look at how clean these are.

I wonder if calling it a alien Rocket infringes on anybody elses trademark?

I guess they are in Brazil so it probably doesn't matter.

No I don't think so Tom the name Rocket was used by Ampeg too and others. :)

That real clean. But still more of a PITA to mod than an eyelet board etc. Those sure are small filter caps.

Looks good, definitely cleaner than a lot pcbs I've worked on. There seems to be a convention that just about all manufacturers of pcb amps use that can be problematic however. The preamp tube sockets appear to be mounted directly to the board. Excessive heat is not really a problem with preamp tubes in the top-mount configuration but this will put stress on the solder joints every time the tubes are touched, which will eventually lead to broken joints.

It's good to see non-board mount pots though, those are actually a more common cause of cold joints than tube sockets, despite being bolted to the chassis.

I don't like to see pcb mounted tubes but notice they have a screw and bolt near each socket and also screws on the four corners.
