Hi All,
I have a couple speakers with good cones but the frames are peeling. One (a P15N) is pretty light and one (a C15N) is rough as a cob and will need a lot of surface prep first.. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what kind of spray paint is moderately close to the original? This doesn't have to be a counterfeit quality job -- I just don't want them to look like barbecues.
Thanks, as always, Skip

I think most would agree that anytime you try to "fix" the appearance of a vintage piece, be it a chassis or speaker frame, it will affect it's collector value.
Having said that if the appearance bugs you and you don't care about the collector value, then by all means restore it.
If the frame has that wrinkle type paint you can still buy that depending on the color.
Antique Electronics sells some.

If you want black wrinkle paint I know that Auto Zone carries the VHT black wrinkle paint.
They also make a brown.
But if it is the grey color like Jensen used to use, I'm not sure where to find that.
