Eagle Supre 1st build... Questions.

Post by blues junkie »

So my Eagle Supre is just about complete... but I some questions that I am hoping you guys/gals can answere for me.

1) What gauge wire do you use for the Pilot light (120v AC pilot light) The BOM sheet lists it as 20 gauge, But there is a 16 gauge white wire that is listed as Mains wire and It is way to big to wire it to the pilot light terminals.

2) What should I do with the unused leads on the PT & OT? I just neatly bundled the Yellow 5v wires together zipped tied them and figured I would tuck them in a corner as well as the 480v green leads on the PT, then on the OT there was white/Blue wire marked for Screens... I just zipped tied that one, and moved it out of the way.

Thanks.

Chucks.

I will post pics tonight.

1) any 20 or 22 gauge would work
2) yea, just shrink/tape off the ends to they don't touch anything

I usually bend the extra transformer leads back on themselves before taping or heat shrinking - that reduces the possibility of the end of the wire ever touching anything (old US Navy electrician trick).
