I got an old 1970 italian amp (GEM Super Reverb 50R)
the amp has 4 x el84 final tubes + reverb & vibrato
there is a High B+ and SS rectify (with big sag resistors before rectify)
the OT is broken and I must go for a new one
as to save some money I've think for the Hammond 1760J Upgrade (designed for Fender) (4000ohm - 4/8/16ohm - 35W)
instead of the 1750V (designed for Vox) (4000ohm - 8/16ohm - 30W)
the price of the 1760J Upgrade is near € 50.00
the price of the 1750V is near € 80.00
What do you think about the use of the 1760J instead of the 1750V (also in terms of tone) ??
Thanks
