So I was just basically given a bunch of brand new amp parts from a local tech clearing out / moving to the tropics...
Trying to decide what to do with some of the things I've got.
I have several power transformers:
Hammond 262e6 (120V 93ma, 6.3V @ 1.2A)
Hammond 270x (480V CT @ 46ma, 6.3 @ 1.5a, 5V @ 2A)
some old PT that originally came from a "National Amp". Need to learn more about this one still.
Along with several Output transformers:
Hammond 125A
Hammond 125C
And a huge choke for a twin reverb (probably over kill for any project using these little transformers!)
As well, I got a bunch of chassis, caps, resistors, tube sockets (9 pin and octals), etc... basically most of what I'd need to build a couple of small amps.
Suggestions? I've never really seriously looked at building 3 - 8 watt types of amps, but now that I've been given the stuff, all it would cost is my time!
(oh - and i did get a couple bigger transformers too, but I already have plans for them)
Thanks!
Project ideas?

OK, no one else will, so I'll bite.
The 270x will probably power a Champ-ish amp. 6V6, 12AX7, 5Y3. Voltage will be on the low side. Maybe you skip the 5Y3 and go with solid state rectification. I think you want to squeeze out as much B+ as you can because higher plate voltage results in lower current draw, which could be taxing for a 46mA supply.
The 262e6 (?) is an odd ball. At 120V your best hope is B+ of around 160V. If you use a doubler, you will end up in the mid 300's but you will get less than half the rated current. For this one, with the doubler, I suggest a pair of EL95's in PP. Plate voltage might be a bit high for this tube, so I'd drop the screen voltage down a bit. You could try the choke in this one just for grins -- I haven't thought this through. This could match pretty nicely with the 125C.
You might try the 270x with the 125A in a Firefly type build. It could be a decent match. You might consider doing it with a 6SN7 instead of 12AU7 power tube.
