Schematic symbols

This is Phillip I am trying to help my dad finish up an amp. He asked me to look at the schematic, now I don't know how to read schematics but he is trying to tell me what to look for. I am looking at what he says should be the symbol for a pot but it doesn't look like the other ones. Instead of an arrow pointing at the middle of it this one just has an arrow drawn through the middle of it with the arrow part just pointing out into space. For reference there is a symbol like this on the TW Express schematic version AO as the bass pot. Could anyone tell me how the pot should actually be wired to accomplish this. Thank you in advance.

Hi Phillip - deja vu - I've been wanting to ask how your dad's doing.
You connect between the middle terminal and one end. If you send me a drawing I'll indicate which end.

PS - The pot with the arrow drawn through the resistor usually is 'shorthand' for letting you know that the pot is wired as a variable resistor - i.e.: with the wiper lug connected to one side (either the input or output lug) of the pot.
