It should be very easy to tack or clip another resistor accross the 470k to hear the effect of reducing it. Try something like 100k to get a parallel combination of 82k.Matt D wrote:...The amp has a nice warm sound that overdrives easily. If anything, it is a little muffled sounding. If I wanted to add some treble (I hesitate to use the unspecific "sparkle" or "presence") to the overall sound of the amp, should I start with the preamp dressing or the 470k resistor feeding the PI?

Thanks Martin. What about clipping a potentiometer on there, adjusting to taste, and installing the new resistor?
