Monitor wedge plans

Post by M Fowler »

I posted this in the past but since I had posted on another forum today to help a guy out.

I decided repost them here in case anyone was set on making their own floor monitors.

I've got a couple of those 60/30 type monitors in my stash. They're real handy.

if you build monitors make sure you make a stereo pair (one reversed) so if you have to run two the image isn't lop sided. NL4 connectors work well for running passive / bi amped.

appreciate that, I cram at least a 4 mon mix with fronts, amps, cabling
and board into a minivan, always looking for speaker plans

I've taken to pinking mine, had a good chance to hear the stage sound
a few nights back, great sound for the artists, even with a mix of brand
and quality a known flat response in the wedges even improves the FOH.

I've been temped lately to try out 10" coax drivers, the gas price to cash
in pocket ratio is becoming more and more of an issue.

I know I can get a 40 to 20k flat response at volume out of P.O.S. gear

I figured it might be worth a try

I had Bruce Molsky last week, you have him yet?, what a gentleman,
and performer, old blind dogs in few weeks, boys of the lough xmas
