Who knows a good European Source for these captive nuts?

Post by Joost »

I am making my own chassis and want to get some of these captive nuts as seen on tubedepot.com. These don't require me to make a square hole, as I would need for caged nuts.

Where can I find these in the EU?

If you have other suggestions of captive nuts that don't need any additional tools, I am open to suggestions. Here is the tube depot captive nut that requires an 8mm hole:

or searching clip nuts or cage nuts. There are many that will work well for mounting an amp.

If you absolutely cannot find any where you are, let me know and I will order and then mail them to you.

Thanks for all the replies and the kind offer from hired hand. I have found some. BTW, the caged nuts were very easy to find, but it would be very hard to make the proper square hole without any tools other than a drill, so I found the round captive nuts that you can bang in there with a hammer

I managed to get some from tubedepot for cheap through a friend. Really the easiest installation. The others in the link either required a square hole or didn't fit in sheet metal beyond 2.2 mm (mine is 3 mm)
