I do not have enough knowledge (especially solid state stuff) to figure out how the foot switch works. Particularly the Reverb. Is the verb normally On or Off in the C30. I just can't figure out what the foot switch is doing. I see the TRS jack, and the relay Op Amp IN4148 component, but how does all that turn the tank On and Off..?
Thank You

I'm seeing that without the foot switch plugged in (schematic grid location B8-7) The Reverb is normally not connected to the circuit. I'm not familiar with the C30 so it may have a switch to enguage it when the foot switch is not connected.
The TRS works to turn the reverb on ( in-ject it into the signal path ) by bridging the Tip and the Ring. trips a relay and Bob's your uncle.

Actually having owned 3 of em i can say w/o a doubt the reverb works w/o any footswitch. And there is no manual switch for it.

Can you say, without a doubt, WHY you have owned three of them?iknowjohnny wrote:Actually having owned 3 of em i can say w/o a doubt the reverb works w/o any footswitch. And there is no manual switch for it.
Just curious. The Peavey brand does nothing for me, though my experience is limited to one solid state Peavey back in the late 80s.

Re: Peavey C30
Well, because they make a great 2nd/stereo amp for effects return. Plug the main amp's DI into a effects processor and into the C30's return and you have effects w/o degradation and stereo sound to boot. Any more questions?xtian wrote:Can you say, without a doubt, WHY you have owned three of them?iknowjohnny wrote:Actually having owned 3 of em i can say w/o a doubt the reverb works w/o any footswitch.
