DRRI - intermittent sound
My DRRI started cutting out on stage last night and now plays at random. It's not slowly losing volume, it's either full on or dead. Changed every tube, tried all 4 inputs, same problem. Powers up and tubes heat up fine, just no volume until suddenly has volume. Does this sound familiar to anyone? What could cause it to go in and out like that? Appreciate any help I can get. I'm taking it to my tech if there's nothing I can do.
Re: DRRI - intermittent sound
A bad contact somewhere or a cold solder joint are likely suspects. Are you sure your speaker is properly plugged in? I wouldn't continue trying to use this amp until I found the problem. Using it, continuing to try to power it up could cause more damage. Take it in to your tech. There is a good chance he'll fix it for the minimum bench fee.

Bad solder joint on the volume pot somewhere? Definitely sounds like an intermittent wire or joint..
