VG and Guitar Player.

I was a charter member of the tonequest club but finaly ended my subscription in january 2010.

Tonequest is one guy, David Wilson and his tone quest that's all. He keeps the fascination on what he finds to be good tone dealers and tech he knows. If you happen to like blues-rock it's ok. I also found it to be decepitive in that Wilson writes like there is a "we" when really it is a "He". Wilson's writing style is like he's trying to be a detective novelist. I had to give it up. No ads becuase like all the magazines the whole thing is an ad.

Just once I'd like to read a review where they said "you know we tried to like this (amp,stomp,guitar) but we can't, it's sucks"

I also have every Guitar Player mag from 1973 up to about on year ago. It was a good mag. One day I noticed that the first 35 pages were COMPLETELY ads! I dropped the subscription.
