I bought this Drive G65 112 solid state amp from Musicians Friend a couple years ago when they were blowing them out for $50, always intending to convert it to an ODS style tube amp. It has 7591 finals and a single tube reverb in addition to the usual non-HRM features. I modeled the tonestack in ltSPICE and tweaked it more toward a standard Fender BF response. Weber Vibrolux PT, D'lite board set, Weber channel switch board. It currently has a Weber Sig12B, but that will soon be replaced with an Eminence Tonespotter. I've also got a replacement amp logo on order from Sandy at Precision Design to replace the Drive logo.
This is my second ODS style build, my first being a stock D'lite 22 in the large cabinet. I am grateful for the knowledge shared on this forum that makes it possible to build these special amps.
EDIT: the gut shot is obviously before the amp was complete. Note the lack of heater wiring!

Re: Drive amp conversion
Very cool!
How do you like the 7591's? How are you running them?
I'm about to do a build with them, running 425V into a 5K load, got some RCA's and new JJ's to compare, gonna be fun. (Not an HRM though.)

Life is a tale told by an idiot -- full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Re: Drive amp conversion
Fixed bias. I guess they kind of split the difference between 6V6 and 6L6. Good solid low end, present clear highs. I'm using the JJ's as well.
