Ground switch on new builds

Greetings All:
We have probably all experienced the lip zap. Wow. Fender impliments the ground switch by changing a .o47 Cap between primary legs on the power transformer. I had thought it was something like reversing the input leads or something.

Are you all includeing this feature these days or just wiring using a grounded input cord only.

I always wire a grounded input cord.

Yeah, the death cap was "popular" (common) when many/most outlets were wired for two wires only.

I've had the lip arc before - not a good thing.

Since most places are wired to code for a separate ground, I prefer to take advantage of it - even when refurbishing ol' brown Tolex Fenders.

Grounded cord only. I also take a socket tester in my bag to any gig. If the socket is not wired properly I will not plug in.

Doesn't it mess with the mojo if you eliminate the ground switch?

120V AC on your guitar strings is no fun. Use a properly grounded, 3-prong cord.
