5879 channel channel replacement on 18 watt

I own a non ef86 style 18 watt amp. It's the two channel version. One with the TMB and the other with just tone, the "voxy one"

I have a layout for a 5879 based channel that I would like to replace the voxy side with.

I'm a little confused though.

Think this is possible? I want to leave the TMB alone

Mine is really close to this one:

The 5879 is similiar to the EF86 so a Vox AC4/AC15 type circuit tied to the TMB could be implimented.

Also Ceriatone has the EF86 36w layout to go by.
