Adding a tone control on my new "Marshall-ized" Ep

Post by K-SOLO »

What's up guys. I'm new to this forum, and i just got a "Marshall-ized" hand,point-to-point wired turret board from "Watts Turret Boards" for my Epiphone Valve jr.(5 watts.) The chassis(and new turret board)has just one volume knob...and i want to add a tone control to this amp. Can anyone of you "amp guru's" display a schematic on to "tie-in" a tone control?? Thanks.

Yes,Mr.Fowler this is the layout that i put back into my Valve jr. chassis. And thank you for the tone layout. I'm going to order the cap, resistor and pot to add this feature to my lil "Mini-Marshall".

Your welcome and there are other variants to try as well but that one should work well.

No I do not for the VJ, I own a stock amp and I am keeping it that way. :)

I use watts unloaded boards for many different types of amps and figured I could build my own cheaper and I enjoy doing it. Some times I just buy some garolite and cut my own as well.

Yep! Orange drops in a marshallized 5 watt amp. It sounds just like the new Marshall 5-watt.
