Do you know of anyone using yours or other D-style amps in a progressive rock/jazz fusion context? It seems so many examples posted are in the RF or LC or blues/jazz vein...not that that's a bad thing. Just wondering if there are other applications for this great amp? This clip posted by UltraHookedOnPhonix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ap6odoC4itw at about 1:09 and again at 1:57+ in OD sounds very Boogie-like so these amps seem capable of the liquidy singing sustain. It would be nice to hear one in more of an Allan Holdsworth type setting with lots of legato and single note runs.

That was some killer playing with a awesome sound.
Funk: your amps have something that's very recognisable. I heard several clips from different players with your amps and they all have that sweet character.

"Ruff demo"
I think not!
Great sound from the amp and great sound from the player.

sounds great! non-HRM?
Re: Cool clip from woody
Congrats Brandon.
Nice note bloom. I prefer the PAB off tone on this particular clip.

Check my band's web site below. There's a jukebox at the top. Really cheezy recordings, just 2 mikes hung in front of the stage but you'll get the idea.Colossal wrote:Just wondering if there are other applications for this great amp?
I used either a 4x6V6 HRM with D-Lator built in into a 2x12 with Warehousespeakers.com V30 and G12H copies, or a Peavey 2x12 converted into a 2X6L6 HRM with reverb, using Eminence Swamp Thang/Tomker combination. I seldom use any other effects.

There's a lot of variety in those clips. I really like your black LP and the tone you get with the covers of Houses of the Holy and Rock and Roll. American Girl is nice too. The amp has that nice "shrraaannngggg" to it and there is an overall smoothness to the distortion. I'm guessing that may be your 2x6L6 HRM?

Thx, yes, Houses was the Peavey convert with a Tex-Mex Strat with Fralin PU's.Colossal wrote:Hi Bob,

The Black LP is an Edwards I bought in Japan 4 years ago. Amazing instrument. Kills any new LP and only cost 89,000 yen.
All recording ... guitar > cord > amp

Real real nice funk!
A guitar should never sound like a bee, a duck or, a chainsaw (well sometimes a chainsaw is alright )
