Amp with computer :?

Post by dr. who »

What would you have to do to take the pre out on the amp and send it to a computer and then back to power output section of the amp without frying the computer(MAC). I have a midi guitar and would like to use the midi function with software to gate and for reverb-delay purposes. I imagine that the pre-sound would be the dumble tone to effect. Thanks.

what's your analog to digital interface? assuming you have one you should probably run your pre- out into a mixing board or mic pre for control, then back out through the board to the amp. it helps to know specifically what gear you have.

A Dumblator (or equivalent) - an effects loop buffer which will allow you to attenuate the pre-out signal and boost the return signal suitable for driving the power section and provide suitable impedance matching in and out.
