Now that I have a couple Dumble clone heads, I don't want to have to choose. I've seen good things about the VooDoo labs and Lehle splitters. Has anyone built a box along the lines of the Geofex box for one guitar, two amps? It is driven by TL072 chips.
Fabiomayo, I saw a layout by you but it said untested at the time.
Thanks, Skip
Geofex A/B/Y box?

Skip,
If you are planning to use 1 cab - you may need something like a Radial "HeadBone". Not just an a/b/y

Thanks, I hadn't given that much thought. In all likelihood, I'll just pick one. I use the HRM over Brits and will use the 80's over EVM's anyway and that is way too much schlepping.

Yup, that's me. 30 years or so ago, opening a show for Santana & Marshall Tucker. Marshall Tucker was the headliner then. Go figure.....

Skip, it still remains untested
design which should be just three buffers (two non-inverting and one
inverting for phase correction) and two switches for (A+B) and (A or B)
operation. I think the transformer-isolated schem would be a best bet
or use the switches only (skip the buffers).
As stelligan said, these are all just meant to change the input path, each
amp should still be loaded with it's own speaker(s).
What I do on my bedroom is to plug my guitar on input one of my tweed
style amps and take a patch cord from input 2 to the Dumble build.
The result is quite interesting and is more noticeable the further apart the
amps are. I really like to use tremolo on one amp and not the other.
For jamming purposes, one amp and a few pedals and a whole lot of
unrehearsed tunes is complicated enough for me.
Re: Geofex A/B/Y box?
Framptone has a couple of items that fit that bill. I picked up a 3Banger which allows you to use 3 amps at one time with a tuner or 4 amps where one is always on through the tuner jack. It has phase switches, ground lifts, and has some other tricks. Very well done amp switcher.
Eardrums!!! We don't need no stinkin' eardrums!
