12 volt or 6 volts
On this layout https://tubeamparchive.com/download/file.php?id=62096 it shows 6 volts going to the 12 volt regulator. Is this correct or do I need a separate 12 volt supply? Thanks
Re: 12 volt or 6 volts
That depends. If you’re using the supply as a voltage doubler, 6 VAC in is what you want. If you use 12 VAC in, you want a regular supply (bridge rectifier). This board offers both options if I’m not mistaken.
Some transformers offer a 0-6-12 VAC secondary winding, like the diagram of the PT of Inmadout shows in this layout. Many don’t though.
