TR Studio Pro 35

Post by alkuz1961 »

Hi guys,
now this amp is on the table in my friend's workshop. After some research, there is already a schematic and board layout. Although there is nothing unknown inside.
I am ready to publish all this, but I am not sure about the copyright. What will the administrators say about this?

It is now out of production, and that has in the past been the gate for revealing the circuit.

Excellent, thanks!

Nobody's going to kick you. If for some reason they come at us, we may have to remove the links, but as noted now that it's out of production, it's unlikely they'll care.

I always wondered what was going on in those. How’s the pickup loading sound?

Thanks for posting.I always learn something new staring at some of these Two Rocks
I have to say, this is one of the better built ones I've seen in a while..Kudos to whomever built it!
I wonder how it sounds compared to like a good sounding Vibroverb..

BTW..My 2nd generation also has a Mid boost and a Deep switch and I find it makes the amp incredibly versatile..no surprise that they used it.
Mid/on Deep/on  ( for traditional Fat Jazz tone)

Indeed, there is always something interesting about them Tony. Here we have a mid boost and half a PAB on one switch! Also interesting IMHO is the reverb implementation. Like the reverbs of the CRS mk3 and Wonderland/JM sig had a baby.

Still wonder how bass heavy this amp is: contour and no presence cap. Is that mid pot audio or linear taper? Schematic, layout and guts differ in some parts.

Photos, drawing and layouts, this is the merit of my friend. Unfortunately, I myself did not have enough time to get acquainted with this in detail. Now the amplifier has already returned to the owner. But maybe after some time it will fall into the hands of my friend again, and it will be possible to clarify all the questions.

Rootz, I know your interest in these TR amplifiers, and I hope you can supplement and correct this provided schematic.

Super cool! Thank you for sharing! While looking at the parts selection, those 100k plate load resistors are physically quite small compared to what I'm used to seeing. Maybe the introduction of shot noise is part of the mojo to these? lol

Sure! It gives the impression of a much more powerful amp if it's hissing like an angry rattlesnake.

Hi,
I did a PM to Alexander with a hand drawn schemo of the Pro 35 (2011) that I did several years ago.
It was very rough so I thought I would alter his schemo to reflect the differences that I found when I copied mine.
I'm not saying mine is without errors, but present it as a possible alternative diagram, to stimulate discussion.
I have a rough of the Pro 35 + as well but I will not post here as I believe it is still current ?

Hi John,
Thank you again for sharing your version of the scheme. I put your corrections to a clearer drawing
