Hey all,
I discovered the sonic magic that is the Dumble SSS #002 circuit on YouTube yesterday, and I have got to build one. My goal is to get as close as possible to the original thing and so I figured I would ask if anyone has any valuable information that might be helpful in building this. I already looked at a bunch of the other discussions with regard to the #002 and found some handy schematics and "gut shots", however, having never built anything like a Dumble before, I am unsure how accurate they are. Also, if anyone has any experience building one, I would be thrilled to get in touch with you to talk about yours and how you went about building it.
Thanks!

There is a recent thread by one of the forum members rccolgan with their build and data on an #002 build. You can look their schematics up on line etc. See this thread: https://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=32047techwiz1998 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 5:21 pm Hey all,

@techwiz1998 - let me know if you have any questions. Great amplifier and for sure share any information you discover on your own build or research

Re: Serious Steel String Singer #002 Build
Welcome to the community. Most of the bugs have been worked through on the #002. The issue with the SSS builds is that Dumble originally made them with home made circuit boards. I'm not aware of anyone having made their own boards like Dumble.
A good place to start would be the M. Hartman SSS hybrid. It is a mix of data from the various SSS layout but he redesigned the board so that all the wiring is on top of the board. Here's a thread where I build one and also incorporated Martin Mannings tweaks on the step filters.

If you feel more ambitious here's a thread on how I built my #002 incorporating Dumbles layout and design but without printing boards.
