BM 50 Watt Combo

Post by dcribbs1412 »

Mag Comp Marshall iron. Taylor from AN 4 pre hole silver chassis 8)
Voltages 480V plates EL34's.....might look at dropping that some, 198V on V1.
Even got the internal loop quiet :)
Maple cab with leather corners, solid and heavy
Sounds good at power up will tweak a little and roll tubes after a few days of burnin
Emi EM12 speaker needs break in also.
Last few builds have really taken a while to come together.... :(

Beautiful looks! I dig the Maple with leather corners!
Did you have hum issues with the loop when started or was it ok right out of the box?

Thanks guys
I dig the leather corner look on the wood too, we'll see how they hold up
Loop grounds had to be moved around a little but was fairly quiet out of the box.
Will try to get clips soon, like to break amp/speaker in and roll some tubes.

Looks great. How does the maple cab compare, weight-wise, to plywood?

Thanks Drew
Heavier than a 1x12 combo I have in a plywood marshall style cab by a good 15-20 lbs
may be switching out the Emi EM12 its 16.5 lbs. Time will tell
