[QUESTION] Dumble FX Loop

Post by Bombacaototal »

I am just wondering how many of you actually use the loop and for which application

Of course the FX Loop is not buffered and has to go to dumblator first.

So far I've only seen it being used for external reverb units like a Victoria Reverberato or Bricasti M7. But I am wondering if I should add to my project or not and hence thought I'd ask who is making active use of it

My perception is that mainly i thinking ppl just do not use it

For it to wok well you do need a dumbleator.

The dumbleator also acts as another master volume and also as an extra tone shape due to the two bright switches on the in and out.

I used the loop all the time for modulation and delay FX and keep any other FX like drives, compressors etc in front of the amp. My board has a master buffered IO box that runs a loop to the amp FX loop and the other through the pre-amplifier pedals.

I use the same board with my Kemper and run it exactly the same, as the Kemper has an FX loop too.

Hi Marcus, thanks a lot for sharing all the details and insights

Having the d-lator as an extra tone shaping tool is something I had not thought about

You have a killer set up! Those kempers are wonderful

I dig the tidy pedalboard as well
