Had a day off today so spent a couple of hours with the BM and various speakers.
I've always had it paired with the 1x12 EVM ported cab. The sound is big, LOUD and clean, reminds me of a JBL equipped fender twin back in the day when clean. The OD is typically Dumble.
I've been looking for a way to get a bit of crunch out of this amp, sort of like when you push a fender deluxe or similar. Tuning up the pre and master down doesn't achieve that unfortunately.
Out of curiosity I plugged the BM into my 4x10 Celestion equipped 50w Marshall cab.
Bingo..... the 4x10 low watt Celestions are nice and clear sounding but they will break up in a way the EVM doesn't . It's also not vey efficient so your not deafening yourself either. They just seem to take the edge off thing nicely when digging in.
Also, I experimented with a Marshall Blues Breaker pedal into the amp as it's on my board. Again, the BM on the clean channel takes pedals very nicely , so with the 4x 10 and the Blues breaker pedal you can have a really nice crunch, which is something I've not been able to achieve before.
So..... I wonder if my ideal amp would be the Bluemaster WITHOUT the OD channel. Just the boost would do me and with the current crop of very nice OD pedals, Klon, king of tone, Xotic boosters, bluesbreake etc etc to provide the OD you'd be good to go.
Am I describing a regular Fender amp now though?.....

Re: 100w Dumble BM experiments today.
I like both clean and OD channels of my BM (granted - I tweaked it quite a bit to shape the sound to my liking and to sound good with Strats).
However, what you're possibly describing is the Small Special amp. It is basically ( 2nd gen, if I remember correctly) ODS clean channel, sounds great to me (and if you make the NFB switchable, you can get pretty nice crunchy sound).
For me personally, nothing touches SSS for cleans, but the Small Special holds its own great.
