Seams reasonable, because the asking price is evenly divisible by 111,000 dollars.
I build and repair tube amps. http://amps.monkeymatic.com

I am curious about the 5 amp fuse rating. I thought maybe he used a fuse that large only for EL34s but this one looks like it has 6L6s and why the heck do sellers feel the need to hide the serial #?

I thought 5 amp fuses were used in the amps with Music Man power supplies.
The valves could be EL34's, I have have some old fat bottle Sylvania's that look the same size at 6L6's.
Looks like serial #150.

Thanks,
Aaron

At the current exchange rate, that's about $145,000 Australian dollars . . . but eBay reckons the vendor may not even ship to Australia.

Damn. Missed out again. :(

"This amp was purchased from Dumble (Howard at the time) on the heels of a certain Top 40 hit "

Anyone know what this refers to? I looked up the Billboard charts for 1987 and all it did was remind me how much I hated the 80's.

I wouldn't pay one dime over $100,000.00

You have to draw the line somewhere.

Those "fat bottle EL34s" are neither Sylvania nor GE 6CA7s. They don't look like any modern 6CA7 to me either. The plate holes are wrong.

They don't look like old 6L6GCs either, I don't recall any plate holes in those.
