My version of the DLite

Post by ampedup »

thanks so much to the guys who put so much work into this amp, the beautiful layout and to brownote's forum. it sounded good with my strat but with my es135 it just awsome, the best sounding amp i've played. i gutted a drZ clone for parts and transformers so i only had to spend less than 100 bucks on it. i changed the power supply board because i had a can cap i wanted to use and i added an elevated heater supply. i grounded everything at the input jack, something i picked up from ax84 but i have a little humm so i'm going to experiment with different grounding points. i plan on making a head cab soon. it's at the bottom of the page.

I'd suggest you stick to the grounding scheme from the D'Lite. I wired mine exactly per the drawing, and there is NO hum,..not even a little. If you put your ear about 4" from the speaker you can hear a little hiss in the OD mode, but that's about it.
