Three Dumbles at estate sale/auction.

Post by guitarpkr76 »

I didn't see this posted yet. Sorry if it has been. Looks like an old country guitarist's estate is being sold off. Including 3 dumbles. Two ODS and one SSS. http://denver.craigslist.org/msg/4142269741.html

Hmm. I'm now seeing this pic was posted on Jelle Welagen's FB page. The middle amp is a Welagen and the other two were borrowed by Doug Doppler. I'm wondering if they did this to get people to show up to the auction. If so, I'm sure there will be a few ticked off guitarists.

I'm sure there will be. The other two Dumbles belong(ed?) to Henry Kaiser.

I thought Henry's blue suede amp had colored knobs? It did in Doug Doppler's demo of it. I'd have to recheck utube.

Edit: Just looked at utube. The CL amp is not the amp in Doug's review.

The SSS was already sold through Maverick Music.

That Sho-Bud amp is nice, if real.

Check the Address...

Looks rather "Hoax-ish" to my eyes. Plug the address into Google Earth and I'm betting you'll find a vacant lot.

But who knows?

Skip Cole is/was a for real Denver area musician with a dubious reputation. I had no idea he had passed on...he might of.

That SSS is in Phili, I built a matching cab for it in 2012... unless it's for sale again

Edit...I just sent $1000 to Nigeria for all three of those amps. Don't worry I'll post gut shots when the banque cheque clears

It's in Pennsylvania, but I think it's the same guy. I was just talking to him online and he said you built the cab.
