Hey folks. I'm finishing up my Ceriatone OTS HRM and I'm trying to figure out which wire goes to which output tube. Here is the wiring diagram for the transformer. http://www.classictone.net/40-18009.pdf
Is there any way to tell other than hooking it up and seeing if it squeals? Thanks.

50/50 shot on the squealing!
Re: Classictone Power Transformer question
Guitarpkr76.
First a little correction... you are talking about an Output Transformer... so do not place it in the power transformer spot and connect it to the main line.
You have a primary, and a secondary.
Primary: Blue to 6l6 pin 3, Brown to other 6l6 pin 3
(keep them away from grid wires and tightly twist them, make sure you'll leave plenty of length so you can reverse the brown/blue if you have a squeeling problem, another option would be to exchange the PI wires.).
Red to OT center tap (near the choke connection).
Secondary: Black is ground (to speakerjack ground). Yellow/Green/Orange to the designated impedance selector taps.

Re: Classictone Power Transformer question
Here's how I've wired that OT before; assuming that the output of the phase inverter's input is connected to the first power tube, then the blue primary( leading winding, notice the dot) goes to pin 3 of V4 and the brown goes to pin 3 of V5.guitarpkr76 wrote:Hey folks. Re: Classictone Power Transformer question
Thanks for the help, guys. I knew it was the blue and brown. Just not sure what tube each wire went to. Not sure why I typed power transformer either.
I guess I'll start with how ToneMerc has done it, but I'll leave slack just in case. Thanks again.

That's how I wired mine and it did not squeal on startup.ToneMerc wrote:Here's how I've wired that OT before; assuming that the output of the phase inverter's input is connected to the first power tube, then the blue primary( leading winding, notice the dot) goes to pin 3 of V4 and the brown goes to pin 3 of V5.guitarpkr76 wrote:Hey folks. Re: Classictone Power Transformer question
Thanks guys. I got it hooked up and it didn't squeal. I seem to have some more issues, but no squealing.
