Update after playing #124

Post by echo44 »

Ok so tonight the Dumble #124 had its opening debut at a jam.
I let one of my friends play it who is an amazing player.

I was completely blown away!! I almost started to cry it sounded that good.

My amps currently and in the past include: 1965 all original deluxe reverb,
louis electric, matchless, Toneking metropolitan, victoria, Carr , highpower fender twin, Hiwatt bulldog, tweed champ, Axe Fx II.

Every amp of course sounds different however, there really is a magic in that
dumble sound, the harmonic overtones were amazing, The distortion so smooth. The tone can be so loud yet not fatiguing . Really could not get a bad sound of it. My other amps are going to start to feel lonely.

Its some what of a gamble when you build an amp like this since you never know exactly how its going to sound and I spent a lot of money and time.
I feel I got pretty lucky that this one turned out better than I was expecting.
So many variables that can change the tone its a miracle that it even works.

Just wanted to thank the community that makes this all possible. Without this forum tackling an amp this complex with my limited knowledge and skill would not be possible.

Thanks again!!!!!!! :P

Congrats! Electronics is a language and the first few words you understand make a conversation.. Ya know? Very rewarding kind of labor that hits all the right buttons, so to speak... even if a few are backwards. heh
