#124 build checking in!

Post by echo44 »

Well I started this beast about a year ago and haven't spent much time
as work has been busy and I spend a lot of time playing guitar with my Axe Fx as well as my original down to the dust 1965 deluxe fender reverb.
However I caught the bug again and will try to finish this project.
It is a little daunting from a newbee perspective having only built a fender champ and a High power tweed from mojo kits. The 124# is light years more difficult as you have to source everything yourself not to mention the circuit is more complex. As i make the final leap I want to thank everybody on this board who have been so amazingly helpful, I have never met so many great people willing to help out on line a complete stranger. I feel like I have participated in an advance electronics class! Well I will start posting pictures, If you see anything wrong don't hesitate to criticize. I will be changing the power supply to run the bigger caps in series as I have found some. currently its wired to run 2 80uF in parallel but they are only rated 500V

Looking good. My first d-style build was using the layouts and schematic for 124 on this board. Takes a lot of patience for sure but the outcome is worth it. What transformers are you using? Where did you get those electrolytics? Never seen them before.

RJ was selling those Tech-Caps awhile back. Looks like one of his chassis too if I am not mistaken?
