Trafo for relay!
Hi , this trafo can be ok for relay power supply? my wall voltage is 220/230V

Re: Trafo for relay!
For a #124 type amp it is recommended that you use a 12v secondary and a current rating of at least 450ma.
I used a Triad with a 700ma rating, I have four relays.
This is the one I used.

Re: Trafo for relay!
Hi Tom , thanks , but I run with 220V primary ,not 115V!!!
Re: Trafo for relay!
Yeah I know.
It really depends what relays you use and how many, plus LED's.
The 300ma may be enough but you should add up all your current draw and see if it will be adequate.

Re: Trafo for relay!
The usual small DPDT-relays people use, are at around 60-75mA each @ 12V. Then add 10mA for diode an dropper resistor. 300mA should do fine for two relays. But use a 12V primary and a rectifier bridge, not the voltage doubler.
Re: Trafo for relay!
I use a pair 6V relays and leds!
Re: Trafo for relay!
You need to give us more details about what you are doing.
Plus it would help greatly if everyone put their location in there profile so we can best answer your questions.

Re: Trafo for relay!
Find the datasheet and sum it up, ad 50% for good measure and there you go.

33mA per relay at 6V. So, figure 50mA per relay including the LED indicator.
