I just bought quite a few of these old German resistors from the late '60s/early '70s. They cost a lot less than Pihers and Iskras, I guess because the vintage Marshall builders don't use them.
Anyone have any experience with them and care to comment, especially if you have used them in Dumble type circuits? Pics below.
Pihers are very nice but certain values (100K, 220K 1/2W, 68K 1W) are getting up around $4 each and harder to find.

Another company that Vishay bought out.
Where in the world did you find those?

Re: Draloric/Resista Carbon Film Resistors
In the last couple of years I've gotten a few these types given to me from euro sellers always as extras just tossed in. No reason why they shouldn't well in an amp situation. Not sure if the are made of the same cores as the later endcapped Draloric (Sprague Q Line) CF, but anytime that you can find vintage high stability CF's it's good thing.
I have been wanted to use these in a fuzz face clone, just need to get the right values.

TM, well if the cores ARE the same as the later Sprague Q-Lines, they should sound pretty much the same. I didn't know the Q-Lines were actually Draloric. Thanx for that.
Tom, I got them from Mark Huffman in Houston. www.markoparts.com
He has hundreds of them. Mainly 1/2W Draloric but he does have Resista too. He is preparing to list them but neither I, nor I think Mark himself, know exactly how many of what values he has yet in total.
Yes Vishay now owns both companies and has for a long time. Both brands were used a lot in hi-fi amps in the'60s and '70s.

Indeed he is.
I have bought caps from him in the past. He doesn't list them but I found he has some early '80s Clarostat pots with 30% taper. They are snap-in shafts, you trim to length and they have PCB leads not solder lugs.
