Kits for ODS amps

Post by steve.garlick »

Moved from Technical section.

Hi,

Could some-one help a beginner? What kits are available for ODS amps? I notice that Ceriatone has a kit available? Are there others?

How do these kits relate to the 'period descriptions on the ODS section of this site?

Any recommendations? I've only built 5E3 style kits before? It is biting off too much trying to build an ODS?

Thanks

Steve

I do not think that Ceriatone sells kits (in the true sense) anymore.

http://www.ceriatone.com/tlbrBorderSub/ ... 202011.htm

However you can still buy amp barebones + ready assembled component boards there if that is what you want.

Pack1= components with assembled board, faceplate, and chassis. Only OT, PT and tubes not included. Footswitch included.

However it takes away some of the fun to not do the boards self. And some limitation in what parts are used.

Seem like they (Ceriatone) talk about quiting selling boards altogether in the future (see link above).

Perhaps deciding what type of Dumble you want first and then look for options? There are some Schematics and BOMs here for many types of Dumbles that you can use for collecting parts.
