Re: Interesting tone
Scott is one of the best out there. I know he has a bandmaster modded by H.A. Dumble but I have never seen he's using it on the road. He has done most of his gigs and clinics with Custom Audio amps and pasts years with Suhr, which is I believe is more plexi based.dcribbs1412 wrote:sorry if this was posted previously

How interesting this all is, it isn't Dumble...
Re: Interesting tone
He preferred head is still the handwired SH100. He does have an Ultra Bassman he used to use on a few tunes. Live these days for long trips he usually takes a Hot Rod Deluxe because of the size. He only uses the clean channel with a G12-65 and adds one more pedal for his solo stufferwin_ve wrote:Scott is one of the best out there. I know he has a bandmaster modded by H.A. Here is a picture of his rig:

There is a send control built into the amp so I'm guessing it isn't a lot different than the active buffers we use. Whether it is driven by one of those tubes or discreet I can't say -- but there is definitely some post PI activity in the signal path. Good luck with your investigation, Skip
