100W 4x6L6GC HRM build

Post by jelle »

Hi folks,

I would like to share pics of my HRM build with you. It's a 100W 6L6GC HRM.
The formica works well. Build in progress, I have not started the amp up yet, I hope to do this soon.

I have no doubt you could get NASA's approval to be used on the International Space Station.

Impeccable!

Hi jelle,

Thanks for sharing your pictures, they are truly inspirational.

Is that a choke resistor I can see, where the relay tranny usually resides?

How do you keep it so dang clean????

Cheers,

Paul.

That looks so good, it's almost a shame to conceal it in a cabinet!

Magnificent workmanship.

Makes HAD look sloppy! A super pro build, Jelle. And...BTW, how DO you keep it so clean? Curious about that big green resistor, too. And the generic looking PI coupling caps. NTE?

Thanks! Still awaiting some parts like the 500pF....
The PI couplers are polyester 630V chinese caps. Ebay.

The green resistor is a choke resistor. I figured to try something different for a change. :D

The powertubes are GE 6L6GC. I love those.

Thanks again,

Jelle

Actually, some of the HAD builds that I have opened were certainly as nice. I'm still trying to do certain things as nice as those Dumble amps. I'm sure that each and every solder joint cost him more time than most other builders put into it.

VERY pretty! Such a piece should be showcased with a plexiglass panel on the top of your cab. :D

Nice built Jelle. Hope to hear the amp some day.
What did you use for the mid cap?
