Old Montreux clip, Robben Ford
OK, here's another RF clip. I realize these posts get old but I really dig this clip, his playing and the way he takes the amp through it's paces. Also, at this time I really dig where his head was at regarding phrasing and note choice. He's way into this clip before he cuts loose so be patient. There are a couple more clips from this same show that are just as cool but I can't seem to find them any more.

He's using two amps there, I'd bet the clean is through the Roland.tubedogsmith wrote:OK, here's another RF clip. Great playing by robben, great sax solo as well, I don't know who that was but really great playing and tone, looks to me like an old Otto link mpc, love the tone.

Great tune and playing.
I really like it when he plays the Baker.
Sounds like he has a flanger/ phaser or chorus on the solo.
I always loved this tune.
With his Dumble.

They made a Squier with that body shape for awhile, very cool guitar. Chambered mahogany, decent built for $300. I have one that I play at outdoor gigs and open jams where I don't want to take my main guitars.

I thought he uses the Left ((stereo)) output on the 2290 to whatever amp he using. So the Roland would get both the clean and the OD via the preamp. I hear the same chorused effect on the OD as the clean.

That Rockpalast concert is excellent.
Good audio and video.
Wish I could have been there.
