I'm wondering how the Ironsounds look will fit in the Brandon Chassis. Has anyone done this yet?
It seems the in/out spacing is about right, maybe a mm or 2 off, but how about the PCBs and components? Do they interfere with the OD and PAB switches on the back?
Thoughts?
Thx

I have an Ironsounds loop here Bob, would it help if I measured the circuit board?
Actually here is the template for it.

Thx, but the dimensions are clearly listed on the ironsounds site. I was kinda hoping someone has done this.

Re: Ironsound loop in a Brandon Chassis
Haven't done one on dumble copy chassis. But I did one on a Brown Note D-Lite and it fit fine.
I did have to redo the filaments to accomodate the board.
Personally I like the d-lator better, the tweakability on the Iron sounds is too limited for my tastes.

Yea, but I'm trying to make this amp a self contained combo. The ironsound internal would mean I dont need the rack.glasman wrote:Haven't done one on dumble copy chassis. But I did one on a Brown Note D-Lite and it fit fine.

I don't know the chassis you refer to, but I put the iron sounds in a couple of the D'Lites. I just mounted the loop board above the preamp tubes, with a piece of cardboard backed with aluminum foil on the bottom. Put the PS board on the side over by the rest of the DC circuitry. Works fine! NO noise, NO hum.
Not to knock the IS,.. it's easy to use, works with most effects in the D amps, and the price is right. But the D'Lator is a much better choice.

I agree, after I built my Dumbleator, the Ironsounds loop went into the junk drawer.

Ok, maybe I'll scrap the idea. I have a d-ulator in a rack.Structo wrote:I agree, after I built my Dumbleator, the Ironsounds loop went into the junk drawer.
