HRM Master Volume Pot Tapers etc

I'm struggling with the ultra sensitivity of the OD channel Master pot. It acts like a switch from 0 to 1. Has anyone experimented with different taper pots or have any other suggestions to help tame the beast a little.

Audio taper. HRM has a 100k on its output as well so the volume pot should be even smoother. Mine is real smooth.

The 100k from the treble wiper to the master ??
I have that and I do have an audio pot on the master.

I think it's just that fact that it's 100W and loud !!
