Hey guys,
The guy I'm doing this for, wants the head to be in a seperate cabinet, which means, when it is turned so the tubes are on "top", the chasis is bent at the wrong angle in front, as it was angled to accommodate the twin. Can the chasis be bent straight, or does it have to go into a combo cab?
This is the first of a plethora (see 3 amigo's) of questions to follow.

Re: Twin to Dumble conversion
Why turn the chassis? Make a head like a bandmaster or Tone Master, with the controls on top. The bending of the front is more difficoult because is welded. The better way is populate a new chassis with the characteristics required.

+1. It should be possible to obtain a headshell for a Showman/Dual Showman. It is more difficult if you have a series II amp (Rivera-era). The cabs have different dimensions (i.e. a BF Deluxe cab would not fit a Deluxe Reverb II cab and vice versa).Pingone wrote:Why turn the chassis? The Fender Amp Field Guide (www.ampwares.com) is a helpful source for Fender cabinet dimensions.
Good luck

Mojotone.com will sell you a Showman cab. Make sure to get physical measurements. I think Fender also had a 4 tube reverb head (Dual Showman Reverb?) if you are going to keep the twang. Skip
